We act for humanity.About the roleThis role works within the Nationwide Visiting Program and is responsible for the delivery of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) program in the community, providing a social connection service for older Australians in Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria and South Australia.Your role is to train and support the volunteers who will deliver the service to ensure the program is run according to program guidelines and the Australian Red Cross policy.You will be assisting with networking with Aged Care Facility Co-ordinators, home care providers, volunteer agencies and the local community to promote and expand the service.What you will bringComfortable working in a fast-paced online environment across multiple software platformsMaintain accurate records of all volunteers, clients, their matches along with their progress through their placementDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including communication with Home Care Package providers and Lifestyle Co-ordinators across the Mount Gambier region to facilitate client referrals and matches and to ensure an awareness of community services needs within the broader communityDemonstrated client-centred approach to your work and interactionsAbility to support and coach volunteers and connect with the local communityDemonstrated ability to work in a virtual team and support other team membersDemonstrated ability to think outside the box to resolve volunteer and client concernsAn Australian Drivers LicenceWhy work with us?Work for purpose, know that the work you do enables The Australian Red Cross to support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability.Red Cross respects, values and encourages diversity.
