We are currently looking for an experienced passionate Health & Safety Manager to join our HR & Compliance team located at our Corporate Office and largest Distribution Centre at Yatala, QLD.In this role, you will liaise with a variety of stakeholders and will be responsible for managing the company’s Health & Safety through systems, processes, training, monitoring, advising and compliance. You will develop a culture committed to these programs built on care and respect.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Documentation of the company’s policies and procedures, role responsibilities, reporting channels and moreManaging complianceEnsure onboarding and safety induction programs are fit for purpose for various roles and compliance is managedConduct risk assessments for risk areas, develop a company risk profile by site and co-ordinate actions to ensure compliance and improvements in areas such as working at heights, traffic management, manual handling, safe storage and handling of chemicals, forklift operationDevelop a training matrix for Health and Safety requirements across the business, develop training modules and co-ordinate training and competency assessmentsManage licenses and certifications required by the business and renewalsDevelop/Review and update Health and Safety policies, procedures and SOPs.Provide coaching, specialist advice and support to supervisors and managers to develop a high standard of health and safety leadership across the businessResponsible for front end system administration, employee access, data integrity and management reportingResponsible for Injury Management and rehabilitationManage Workers Compensation processes and insurance premiums.Monthly, annual and adhoc reporting and presentations to management on Company health and safety performanceWork closely with the Human Resources and Logistics team.What are we looking for?Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or related disciplineExtensive experience in a similar role - (national Company with locations nation wide)Hands on site Health & Safety experience preferably in large Distribution CentresExperience managing Workers Compensation across multiple statesInjury management and return to work co-ordinationDesirable qualifications /experience in internal Auditing, ICAM, incident investigation, working at heights, chemical handling and storage, dangerous goods First Aid and FireStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyExperience gained in environmental and or sustainability policy, strategy, implementation and reportingAdvanced Excel skills and ability to learn new software systems quicklyProven ability to provide Health and Safety practical advice and ‘hands-on’ assistanceProven ability to conduct incident investigations and recommend effective corrective actionsSound and up-to-date knowledge of legislation, regulations, codes of practice and standardsThe ability to build and maintain rapport with stakeholdersThe ability to work well under pressure with persuasion and negotiation skillsAbout Us:Australia's leading distributor of hospitality and catering products (non-food), Reward Hospitality is a game-changer in its space.
