The Role:
Develop, provide, and evaluate a trauma informed social work service for patients of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team, as allocated and in consultation with the Discipline Lead - social work or their clinical lead delegate.
You will need:
* Demonstrated skills in collegiality and collaborative relationship building, along with an ability to manage crucial conversations across all areas of practice.
* Be able to operationalise trauma informed practice skills or demonstrate a willingness and capacity to develop these skills and apply them in practice with patients and colleagues.
* Demonstrated ability to engage in clinical reasoning skills and an ability to prioritise, analyse, problem solve, and work constructively across different team environments.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part-time, day worker position, working up to 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing 3 March 2025. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Position Features:
* The occupant of this position may be required to work at both on and offsite facilities of the Department.
* The occupant will participate in after-hours, on-call services, which may include weeknights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.

Salary:
$73,834 to $111,364 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 .

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Full member of Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW.
* International candidates must be able to demonstrate a passing score on the Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test as required by AASW.
* Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements.
