Painter PLG Painting Services Position: Full time permanent Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 per year plus superannuation About us PLG is a family owned and operated painting business established in 1985.The company has grown over the past 30 years and gathered the experience and skills to be able to specialise in large scale projects throughout South Australia. Role Description: · Handling painting materials, coatings, cleaning solvents, fillers and adhesives, coverings, barricades, signs, hazardous materials and waste in line with SWMS and Safety Data Sheets · Demonstrated knowledge and experience with preparing surfaces, mixing paint and applying coatings · Consistently demonstrate high-quality workmanship, strong attention to detail and take pride in their work · Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering · Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces · Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives · Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays · Matching patterns and trimming edges · Cleaning equipment and work areas · May repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames · Are reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude · Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.· Complete tasks assigned by the lead painter or supervisor · Focus on safety of self and others Core capabilities of successful candidates: · Previous experience with repetitive tasks · Ability to follow instruction · Reliable and motivated · Good level of fitness · Strong team work abilities Skills required for the role · Minimum of 1 year experience in Painting along with formal qualifications · Have a current White Card, own hand tools and own transport · Must have an EWP How to Apply If you are interested in applying for this role, please email your resume on ******.
