AV is preparing to implement an important program of work, to upgrade our radio communications across our rural regions, from analogue to digital, which involves upgrading the equipment in our vehicles. To support this, we are seeking 4 x Vehicle Relocators to deliver vehicles and equipment across Victoria to meet AV Digital Radio Upgrade Program (DRUP 2) and fleet requirements.
These positions are based in Ballarat, however travel across the state is required. This work is non inclusive of weekends and public holidays. There may be a requirement for single overnight stays, with the cost of accommodation and meals covered by the project.
The positions will be filled on a fixed term or casual basis, with flexibility for the positions to be filled across a mixture of full time and part time/job share arrangements. The project will need support until December 2025/early 2026.
About the role
Reporting to the Fleet Operations Coordinator, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide efficient and safe relocation of AV Fleet vehicles across Victoria
2. Deliver and exchange vehicles and equipment with AV crews
3. Report any vehicle defects or issues to the Fleet Operations Coordinator
4. Follow the instruction from the Fleet Operations Coordinator to prioritise the movement of AV vehicles
About you
Our ideal candidate has strong verbal communication skills and a solid customer service orientation. You can read, interpret and navigate a road map and your attention to detail allow you to ensure information is recorded accurately.
To be considered for this position you will possess:
5. A current Victorian Drivers License is required, with a light rigid classification or above preferred
6. The willingness to travel throughout Victoria as required.
7. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook (desirable)
8. Team skills to actively participate as a member of a team.
