Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will be based in our landmark Head Office at East Maitland.The primary purpose of the role is to provide financial analysis and reporting to support the delivery of strategic plan objectives. As we have a small Finance team, flexibility is highly valued and you will have opportunities to gain exposure and contribute to a wide range of tasks across Finance and Treasury.The core responsibilities of the position include:Financial Planning & Analysis: Support the Financial Controller and CFO in the development of the Annual Operating Budget ensuring alignment with the Strategic Plan. Prepare and present comprehensive management reports to the Executive team, including variance analysis, performance metrics, and recommendations.Financial and Climate Reporting: Ensure we meet all regulatory requirements, including climate financial reporting standards and prudential guidance. Recommend continuous improvement updates to financial reporting in line with industry best practice.Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement and best practice through delivery of improvement projects within Finance and across the wider business. Utilise experience in ERP and reporting systems to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.Collaborative Work Environment: Build strong, professional relationships with colleagues, management, and key stakeholders.About youThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:Degree qualifications in Commerce, Business or a related discipline, along with qualifications in CPA or CA.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial accounting, with a focus on management reporting, strategy and budgeting.Well-developed analytical skills, with a proven ability to analyse financial data and an understanding of how to prepare a range of reports and presentations for effective decision-making.Demonstrated experience in and contemporary knowledge of budgeting and forecasting practices.Highly developed numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills (including business report writing).Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.How to applySubmit your application as soon as practicable.
