Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Peer Worker with identified lived experience in the emergency department to join our team at Robina Hospital. As a positive role model, you will connect with consumers, carers, and staff, providing information and support on managing mental health.
Your Responsibilities:
* Serve as a source of information on personal experiences of managing mental health
* Support and mentor AO3 Peer workers
* Utilize experience, skills, and knowledge in consumer education, support, and psychoeducation
About You:
To be successful in this position, you will require:
* Experience working as a Peer Worker in a public mental health or alcohol and other drug service or non-government sector
* Holding a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or demonstrating a willingness to obtain it
* Lived/living experience of mental illness, service use, and recovery, with the ability to use this experience to support others
* Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening
* Declaration of serious discipline history

Salary:
Permanent part-time position (38 hours per week) with a base salary ranging from $45.81-$50.46 per hour.
