Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Partner to join our team. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Belmont, with regular regional and metro site travel.
Your role will involve promoting a proactive health and safety culture across our services, working closely with our frontline team and providing expert advice and support on all aspects of Work Health and Safety (WHS).
About the Role
* Drive the achievement of WHS strategic objectives and foster a culture of proactive safety across the organisation.
* Promote safety awareness and prevention initiatives to strengthen our health and safety culture.
* Conduct WHS audits and prepare reports to track progress.
* Assist with incident investigation and encourage prompt reporting of incidents and hazards.
* Monitor key health and safety metrics to identify trends and develop strategies for continuous improvements.
* Apply key learnings across multiple sites through a portfolio management approach.
* Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented safety controls.
* Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders to drive engagement and achieve optimal health and safety outcomes.
* Perform site inspections and risk assessments, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
* Research, develop, implement, and monitor WHS policies and procedures to ensure best practice.
* Offer safety leadership and guidance for site-specific projects ensuring safety remains a priority.
* Regular travel to various sites to provide on-the-ground support and guidance.
Requirements
* Completion of a WHS tertiary qualification (minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS).
* Extensive experience in work health and safety (minimum of three years).
* Valid Australian Driver's License and commitment to regular travel.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* High-level report writing and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and think proactively.
* A customer-centric approach and a solutions-focused mindset.
