We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join our Mortgage Technology team, responsible for delivering system integration solutions within the UNITE program, a multi-year strategic initiative for simplifying processes and systems to enhance customer service and drive business growth.Key accountabilities include :Collaborate with team members in a cross-functional team to deliver world-class system integration solutions based on Westpac Digital platform.Write clean code & build applications in line with the best practices.Utilize shared components and open-source projects.Diagnose and resolve complex service issues.Keep the code free from vulnerabilities by performing NPM audit / SONAR scans regularly.Contribute and be an advocate to the wider development and engineering community through participation in development guilds for knowledge sharing and learning.What do I need?We are looking for top engineers, with the ability to deliver business value first and foremost.Proven experience and expertise as a Full Stack Java Developer.Passion for quality, high-performance and secure code.Can do attitude and passion for learning and improvement.Strong problem solving with excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in development of the REST APIs with SpringBoot and JAX-RS.Proficiency with tools like Git, Bitbucket, PowerShell, SonarQube.Demonstrate below soft skills :Excellent communication skills, ability to consult with various stakeholders.Proactive.Excellent team player.Background in banking and / or financial services.Experience in testing automation.Experience with cloud-native technologies.Experience of integrating REST APIs with the SOAP services.Experience of developing SQL stored procedures.Experience with CI / CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Ansible, Github).Experience with Splunk.Understanding of Agile methodology.Be part of a team that thrives on innovation and excellence!!!What’s it like to work there?We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.
