About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Sales Representative - Seafood to join our Team in Cairns. As a vital member of the team, the Seafood Sales Rep will manage existing customer relationships whilst actively seeking new business opportunities to expand our footprint. This full-time role will play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives. For the right candidate there will be an opportunity to grow further into managing the purchasing and production aspects of the seafood division. Responsibilities include: • Service and maintain an existing customer base, while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. • Stay informed about industry trends and foster a reputation for excellence. • Present and promote Max Stocks outstanding portfolio of Seafood products to our customers. • Achieve KPI’s and targets. • Take orders and assist with customer queries about products, prices, availability, and product uses. • Promote special offers and new products. • Manage and resolve customer enquiries and issues. • Work positively and co-operatively within a busy sales team, and with other internal stakeholders including customer service and accounts. About You You will bring to the role: • Previous experience within the Seafood or broader food industry in a sales capacity. • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to negotiate and secure profitable sales. • Comprehensive understanding of the Cairns Seafood market and supply chains. • A positive attitude, great work ethic, and a friendly yet professional approach. • Strong self-motivation with the ability to effectively manage your time and work autonomously. • A current Queensland driver's licence. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Professional self-presentation. • A passion for food and the food service industry.
