Our services span across every state and territory, from major cities to regional and remote areas, ensuring high-quality pathology support for healthcare providers nationwide.The OpportunitySonic Healthcare Australia Pathology is looking for a full-time Graduate Biomedical Engineer based in Bowen Hills, QLD.Reporting to the In-House Engineering Team, this role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systemsAssisting with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settingsResponding to technical issues and ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtimeMaintaining accurate service records, including inventory, service orders, and reportsAdhering to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and compliance regulationsProviding technical support and training to customers and stakeholdersContributing to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the teamParticipating in training programs, including self-learning and hands-on experienceSupporting on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer supportTraveling as required for customer support and national training eventsPlease note: Candidates must be willing to participate in the on-call roster.What You NeedTo qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
