Council’s Sport and Community Venues Branch delivers and develops a diverse range of quality community facilities, optimising service outcomes and contributing to the social cohesion, economic viability, and health and wellbeing of the Sunshine Coast community.
The Operations Manager of the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex will work within the Sunshine Coast Stadium and Sports Venues Management Team to manage the operations of the region's premier multi-sport complex. Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations and activation of the Maroochydore Multi Sport Complex.
* Liaise with user groups, maintain venue schedules, and attract events.
* Manage buildings, plant and asset maintenance schedules.
* Provide advice and assist with the formulation of the venues policies and strategic direction for events and operations.
* Assist with planning and event day delivery across the Council Major Sport Venues.
The role is currently based at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex but will have the need to attend Sunshine Coast Stadium on a weekly basis.
About you
As someone with Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, or Sport and Recreation, and/or with substantial demonstrated experience, you will have proven involvement with working in the area of community sport and tenure oversight, with exposure to elite teams.
Our best candidate will have highly developed relationship management and consultation experience with the ability to resolve issues and achieve objectives.
A strong business acumen is essential, including the ability to prepare professional communications such as reports, presentations, projects, and policy documents.
You will be able to liaise professionally and positively with members of the community, staff, Councillors, external consultants, event organisers, and suppliers, to ensure timely delivery of projects, programs, and services.
As a requirement of this role, you must have a current “C” Driver’s Licence, First Aid certificate, and a Positive Notice for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
