Job Description About this opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity to join the PACT Group Contract Manufacturing Division as a Maintenance Fitter.The duties for the role includes playing a lead role in all day-to-day operations, flexible to work in Day and Afternoon shifts, maintain the safety requirements of the site; diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, networks and systems; Installs, tests and adjust mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic and automation parts of equipment Your key responsibilities will be to: Flexible to work in Day and Afternoon shifts Maintain the Safety requirements of the site Ensure Safety Lockouts are performed correctly Training and coaching staff members Ensure Safety and control measures are maintained Diagnose faults Coordinate installation work Liaise with onsite contractors Work within budget Assist Installs, tests, commissioning machinery Diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, networks and systems Reads Engineering drawings, basic electrical diagrams and specifications to determine job requirements, plans, measures and lays out installation reference points Selects, cuts and connects wire and cable to terminals and connectors uses electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults repairs or replaces faulty wiring and defective parts Positions and installs electrical switchboards Installs, tests and adjust mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic and automation parts of equipment Communicate with Professional Engineers and other vendors Your skills and experience At least five years' experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Beverage, Chemical, Packaging or other FMCG industry Experience with fault finding, root cause analysis, machine setup and installations is essential Demonstrated experience in CMMS, SAP, permits, isolations and change management systems Project installation work highly desirable Hazardous area exposure (EEHA) desirable Technical hands-on ability in factory automation solutions with the application know how necessary to create and maintain special purpose machinery, production control and plant wide general maintenance for equipment reliability.Qualifications Trade qualified in Mechanical Fitter Relevant training courses an advantage – GMP, Quality, OH&S, 5S, Lean Manufacturing Certificate in Industrial Hydraulics Additional Information About us Our vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.It's a future-driven group commitment, designed to create lasting value.We're the largest plastics recycler in Australia and New Zealand and one of the region's biggest user of recycled materials.We have 6,000+ team members, operate 110 manufacturing facilities across 15 countries, and our customers include some of the world's largest brands that consumers know and trust.As a global leader in circular and sustainable packaging solutions, we've committed to lead the circular economy through a $500 million investment plan.For us, it's about finding new and better ways of doing things.Ways to grow business, to give back to the environment and to enrich people's lives every day.Our promise is to create a better and more prosperous world all round.That's our future Pact.Let's lead the way together.
