About the role:
This role will work closely with the team, coordinating and executing engaging and relevant events to promote the organisation and the Medical Technology industry. As the Events Coordinator, you will:
Assist in the planning and organisation of events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and networking events to promote the Association and the MedTech industry. Coordinate event logistics such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation. Administer event registration processes and maintain accurate attendee records. Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and speakers to ensure all event requirements are met. Support the development and implementation of event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement. Contribute to the development of promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and social media content. Provide on-site support during events, including registration, attendee assistance, and coordination of event activities. Support events to ensure they run smoothly and address any issues that arise promptly. Maintain and track expenditure against budget to maximise event profitability. Prepare event reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and maximize event outcomes and profitability. To be successful in this role, you will have:
Completed or currently studying a relevant qualification in Event Management. Previous experience in a similar role. Ability to think and act creatively and commercially with a focus on innovation. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). An understanding of CRMs and database management systems. A high level of effective written and oral skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and provide excellent customer service. Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with outstanding organisational skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to identify and implement solutions to challenges. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of the Australian health care system and regulatory agencies and experience working in a member-based organisation would be highly regarded.
