Gwydir Day Care and Preschool has been operating for over 30 years, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to develop and grow. We are owned and managed by Moree Plains Shire Council, offering play-based learning and engaging educational activities for children from 8 weeks up to 5 years.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team as a Team Leader. As a member of our team, you will inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and instill a love of learning that will stay with the children for years to come.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in providing a consistent, nurturing, caring, happy, secure, creative, and active environment for all children at the Centre.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community that support and focus on a healthy and proactive learning environment at the centre.
* Treat each child with dignity and respect, considering any cultural, socio-economic, or other differences and their individual needs.
* Ensure a high standard of childcare and education within the Centre by being an appropriate role model at all times.
* Work with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the Centre's operations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Educators who have completed OR working towards Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
* A genuine passion for fostering the growth and development of young children.
* First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
* Ability to use a range of basic computer programs, e.g. Microsoft Office.
* National Police Check (NSW Working with Children Check).
