About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional with extensive expertise in diagnostic pathology and data analysis to join our team.
As the Research Data Scientist at SA Pathology, you will play a key role in facilitating and optimising access to pathology data to support our research objectives.
You will lead the development of efficient data management processes, extracting and analysing data from multiple information systems to create reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for SA Pathology's Executive and Business Units.
Your work will empower insight-driven, strategic decision-making and support innovative research initiatives.

* Key requirements include:
* Skills and Abilities:
o Strong scientific expertise, advanced analytical skills, and a high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and business analytical tools.
o Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Experience:
o Demonstrated experience in diagnostic pathology, laboratory data analysis, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and statistical methods.
o Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable solutions and deliver insightful, visually engaging reports and presentations.
* Knowledge:
o Comprehensive understanding of laboratory systems, quality procedures, and relevant software applications.
o Knowledge of the South Australian Public Health System, SA Pathology operations, and medical laboratory disciplines is highly regarded.
