This role focuses on supporting clients to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes while fostering social inclusion and autonomy, in compliance with Aged Care standards.Each service is tailored to meet clients' unique needs and personal goals, offering support in:Personal Care – Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.Domestic Assistance – Helping with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.Social Support – Accompanying clients to social activities, family gatherings, recreational outings, and medical appointments.Daily Living – Supporting clients in developing essential skills like shopping, budgeting, and cooking, while encouraging independence.Medication Assistance – Assisting with medication (where suitably qualified).Transport Assistance – Providing transport for medical, therapy, and social engagements.Respite Care – Offering temporary care to give family or primary carers a break.Additional Support – Assisting with behavioral, emotional, mental health, and technology needs to help clients manage daily challenges effectively.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking individuals who are:Available between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM to meet client needs.A team player with a compassionate and client-focused approach.Flexible, strong, and resilient in various challenging situations.Experienced in personal care, medication assistance, manual handling, and behavior support plans.Holders of a current C or CA Driver’s License (QLD) and a reliable vehicle.Certified in First Aid & CPR.Additional RequirementsExperience in client-focused roles.Ability to adapt communication to individual client needs.Ability to recognise risks and incidents, react appropriately, and report accurately.A Certificate III or higher in a relevant qualification with at least 12 months of industry experience.Knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training that align with the role’s requirements.If you are passionate about supporting individuals in their daily lives and meet the availability requirements, we would love to hear from you!Why Join CatholicCare?CatholicCare (formerly CentacareCQ) is a large, vibrant, and well-respected not-for-profit organisation providing services across the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton.
