Mills Recruitment is seeking a dynamic Applications Engineer – Seals to join our innovative client in either Perth or Melbourne.

The Role
As an Applications Engineer – Seals, you will provide sales support to OEM, End User, and Distributor accounts, collaborate on strategic growth plans, and develop new business opportunities through specialised consultancy. You will also work closely with the Engineering Services team to implement specialised service projects, ensuring that all activities align with corporate policies, legal standards, and industry codes of conduct.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, execute, and report on activities in collaboration with internal managers.
2. Promote new and existing products and services across all channels.
3. Manage customer orders, provide technical support, and engage in project management.
4. Execute “Go to Market” strategies, leveraging digital marketing tools.
5. Liaise with local, national, and international teams for marketing and product development.
6. Forge strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive business growth.
7. Provide market intelligence on competitor activities, products, and pricing.
8. Document and share success stories and value-creation insights with customers.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
* A trade qualification (Fitter/Turner) or mechanical maintenance experience (desirable but not essential).
* Knowledge of bearing and power transmission industries, including design and application engineering.
* Familiarity with industrial rotating equipment applications.
* CRM experience and advanced Office 365 skills.
* Strong project management, negotiation, and customer focus skills.
* A valid driver’s licence and a willingness to adapt to short-notice priorities.
