We have a dedicated history of delivering safe and efficient transport solutions to our valued clients across our depots in WA.We are seeking a driven, team-oriented FIFO Workshop Supervisor to join our team in Karratha. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading one of the largest workshops in the Northwest, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service excellence are delivered.If you are a highly skilled, heavy diesel mechanical trades expert that is willing to get their hands dirty, and offer technical support, training, and leadership to a diverse team, we’d like to hear from you.Duties and Responsibilities:Working closely with Operations Manager to coordinate safe and timely vehicle servicing, repairs and inspection schedules to ensure optimum operational efficiency.Prepare, supervise and control all workshop activities.Manage technicians and apprentices to ensure the highest of safety and quality standards are maintained.Responsible for ensuring a safe and compliance working environment and adherence to company policies and procedures.Actively responsible for the services, mechanical repairs and maintenance of the fleet.Work allocation and ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained.Manage corrective campaigns for fleet defects, recalls and warranty replacements.Communicate work progress to management including time frames and costings.Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and liaise with spare parts department to ensure that the correct inventory is included for repair orders.Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained.Assist with review and quoting of vehicle damage for customer on charges.Assist in completing servicing and repair duties of the fleet to meet operational requirements.Attend mine site and remote areas for vehicle breakdowns and servicing requirements.Monitoring the use of materials and equipment to minimise waste and damage.Assist parts inventory to maintain stock levels to enable servicing and repairs to be completed without delay.Skills and Experience:Hold a Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Certificate.At least 5 years previous experience in leading a workshop team.High standards of maintenance and service keeping records.Superior diagnostics and fault-finding skills.Previous experience working on buses and coaches (desirable).Valid MR driver’s licence.Ability to pass regular industry standard drug and alcohol testing.Strong work ethic and ability to work calmly to meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.If you believe you have the qualities to work for an industry leading fleet provider, please apply now.We are an equal opportunity employer who celebrate diversity in all its forms.
