Delaware North Australia is looking for passionate and dedicated Commis Chefs and Kitchen Stewards to join our team on a casual basis at Parklands Café, Blacktown. If you enjoy working in a supportive kitchen environment and being part of a great team, we’d love to hear from you!

What you will do?
Commis Chef:
* Assist in food preparation and cooking to maintain high-quality standards.
* Ensure consistency in presentation and portion control.
* Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Assist with stock rotation and kitchen inventory management.
* Support the Head Chef and kitchen team as needed.
Kitchen Steward:
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
* Assist with waste management and disposal.
* Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when required.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health standards.
More about you
Commis Chef:
* Experience as a Commis Chef.
* Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification.
* Solid background in kitchen operations.
* A passion for food and creative flair.
* Comfortable and skilled to be left alone in a kitchen.
* Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs.
* Flexible with shifts, available to work mornings, days, and nights, including weekends.
Kitchen Steward:
* Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward/Attendant is desirable.
* Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain during onboarding.
* Strong communication skills.
* Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible with shifts, available to work mornings, days, and nights, including weekends.
