The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed HSE Officer to join the team and work directly with our engineering and frontline construction crews to ensure written systems are followed at the field level.
You will be based out of our 12,000 sqm head office in Molendinar, working alongside project management teams to influence safe and efficient delivery.
You will be responsible for maintaining HSE compliance and positively influencing our health and safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain positive internal and external relationships
* Perform regular HSE inspections and audit HSE processes
* Close out action items raised as a result of site inspection/ audits
* Develop and maintain site-specific HSE documentation
* Review and maintenance of HSE records to ensure compliance
* Manage sub-contractor/supplier onboarding processes
* Mentor and train personnel to promote a positive HSE culture
* Develop and present informative Toolbox Talks
Requirements
Diploma or Cert IV – Work Health and Safety
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
First Aid & CPR
General Construction Induction
Certificate in Lead Auditor Training (preferred)
Working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 (preferred)
High attention to detail, diligence for quality of work and pride in your own deliverables
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
