About the role
Are you an experienced management accountant with a passion for driving business improvement? We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Senior Management Accountant to manage the PTA’s complex financial data in alignment with current practices, policy, and legislative requirements.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management and reporting of financial data in alignment with current practices, policy, and legislative requirements. You will also drive continuous improvement in business processes, analysis, and reporting, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and team development within the Finance & Contracts Division. In addition, you will oversee the PTA’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting process, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data, and provide advice on the development and review of Tariffs, Fees, and Charge models.
To be considered for this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business, with eligibility for membership to ICAA, CPA, or IPA. Your leadership will be crucial as you guide and mentor your team members, encouraging a collaborative and knowledge-driven environment to enhance capability and performance. A strong understanding of accounting practices, including the Financial Management Act, Treasurer’s Instructions, and Australian Accounting Standards, is essential.

* Well-developed management and leadership skills and ability to mentor, coach and develop team members.
* Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills, including demonstrated ability to work with colleagues in a positive manner.
* Proven ability to evaluate and design management information to address financial and operational performance.
* Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with a proven ability to analyse complex financial information and data from an operational perspective within time, financial and corporate constraints.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
