The Publisher Sales Director - APAC will drive success for the Publisher Development team and GumGum’s publishers in the SEA & Australia region. Serving as the senior most supply expert for the APAC region, the leader in this role will cultivate C-Suite publisher relationships and leverage metrics to drive the publisher acquisition process with operational rigor. This role will generate lucrative business model opportunities by deepening premium supply partnerships, identifying new revenue trends and leveraging a thorough understanding of our industry by attending in-person local events and conferences. This role will work very closely with the regional Head of (Demand) Sales and other leaders to understand bespoke customer needs on a regular basis and tactfully build towards delivering on those needs with a client-first mentality.
We are looking for a strong individual contributor who is open to potentially building a small regional team over time. They will at least work alongside and mentor the existing and building PubDev team within JAPAC. They are also responsible for collaborating with other regional PubDev leaders within the organization to share best practices and ensure a holistic approach for global publishers.

What You'll Achieve
1. Publisher Pipeline Development Pitch to senior-level decision-makers and close new supply partnerships.Nurture a pipeline of premium publishers to meet revenue goals.Manage strategic channel partnerships and assess new market opportunities.Streamline processes to accelerate sales growth.Shape the portfolio to meet sales targets in publisher quality and targeting.
2. Publisher Account Leadership Maximize the value of existing partnerships, including restructuring deals or terminating underperforming alliances.Lead GumGum’s positioning with key digital media publishers.Collaborate with teams to ensure quality inventory and operational excellence.Engage with publishers to understand their needs and leverage insights and technology.
3. Supply Strategy & Management Develop and execute growth strategies with PubDev leadership.Create regional business plans, including account targets and quotas.Analyze and present inventory data, collaborating to grow monetization.Lead inventory management and recommend annual plans for publisher development.
4. Publisher Development Operations Standardize and implement global supply tactics and tools.Refine playbooks, tools, and methods to ensure consistency in sales presentations and materials.
5. Supply Reporting & Analytics Forecast, track, and measure sales KPIs using CRM tools, reporting to the executive team.
6. Voice of the Publishers Advocate for publishers in feature development and product planning.
7. Industry Leadership Participate in industry events, webinars, and forums to build partnerships and stay informed on emerging technologies.
Skills You'll Bring
8. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
9. 8+ years in ad tech, with 7+ years in business development/sales.
10. Proven experience in sourcing and securing partnerships, particularly in business development.
11. Expertise in complex, multi-faceted ad tech products and supporting technologies.
12. Strong industry network and consistent track record of meeting/exceeding business targets.
13. Deep knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, programmatic media buying/selling, and emerging trends.
14. Ability to provide leadership with insights on trends, performance, and strategy.
15. Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and Google Drive.
16. Strong communication, presentation, closing, and negotiation skills.
17. Ability to work cross-departmentally and lead strategic conversations.
18. Strong analytical, reporting, and time management skills.
19. Entrepreneurial, creative problem solver with a growth mindset.
20. Willingness to travel within the APAC region.
21. Based in Sydney, Australia, or Singapore.
