Our client, a leading provider in engineering and design, is seeking a dedicated Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Adelaide. This role offers a unique opportunity for a structural engineer passionate about steel structure design, especially for switchroom projects. The position allows for collaboration across multiple departments, providing exposure to the full lifecycle of structural engineering and switchroom construction.Position Overview: In this role, you will report to the Lead Structural Engineer and work closely with the Switchroom Design, Engineering, and Project Management teams. While this description highlights core responsibilities, the position allows for growth as project demands evolve.Key Responsibilities: Develop structural designs specifically for steel switchroom structures, including preparation of engineering calculations and sketches.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve efficiencies in modular design, materials usage, and construction methods.Review, check, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards (AS-NZS_1170 / AS_4100).Support the Engineering team with construction and production coordination, as well as review fabrication drawings in line with general arrangements.Resolve client feedback by updating designs as needed, and contribute to the creation of rigging arrangement designs.Core Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringExperience: 1 to 10 years in building services steel structure designSkills: 3D modeling skills (SolidWorks, Tekla Revit), understanding of document control, and familiarity with Australian standards for structural engineeringKey Competencies: Strong attention to construction details and results orientationAbility to interact cooperatively and communicate professionallyExperience with drafting standards, material ordering, and subcontractor coordination (desirable)Why Join: This role offers career growth within an inclusive and supportive work environment, encouraging skill development and excellence in structural engineering.
