The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Lead Tier 2 System Maintainer supporting mission applications maintenance in Alice Springs, AUS. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your experience to support our customer’s mission.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Lead a Tier 2 software maintenance team for a specific mission domain
2. Ensure the availability of mission processors by driving proactive Tier 2 SW maintenance
3. Ensure team performs incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues
4. Support configuration management and change management activities
5. Support service transitions including migrations to cloud infrastructure
6. Ensure team perform all request fulfillment activities flawlessly and with customer focus
7. Coordinate with other maintenance, operations and engineering contract leaders as required
8. Ensure team documents all work performed via ticketing system
9. Ensure team creates, updates or enhances maintenance and operations documentation
10. Ensure security of mission processors and IT infrastructure
11. Manage call-in support as required
Basic Qualifications
12. United States’ citizen with current TS/SCI with Poly
13. Bachelor’s Degree with 12-15 years of applicable experience or 10-13 years with Masters degree
14. Current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+)
15. 7+ years’ experience performing Tier 2 software maintenance on mission critical systems
16. Proven leadership experience with constructive, collaborative approach
17. Proven experience with one or more of the following technical disciplines:Current and legacy software development languages and tools (i.e. C, C++, Java, XMIDAS)Unix, Linux or Windows operating systems, including shell scriptingEnterprise management toolsEnterprise storage management and configurationDatabase management systems and tools (i.e. Oracle, MySQL)TCP/IP networking in an enterprise environmentInformation system security, including IAVA management and ICD 503 compliance
18. Experience supporting configuration management, change management and service transition
19. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
20. Proven ability to work collaboratively and constructively with other leaders
21. Must be willing to manage or perform call-in support as required

22. Experience with legacy platforms (i.e. DEC VMS, Alpha)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
