Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS5 Learning and Development to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in Surry Hills. The position is 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension and are paying per hour + Super.
hours per day and 38 hours per week.
About the role:
The APS5 Learning and Development is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The APS5 Learning and Development will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading and participating in capability and learning projects and contributing to the achievement of business outcomes.
2. Coordinating learning and development activities across the agency and undertaking administrative functions as required.
3. Assisting in the development, implementation, and effective communication of a new Learning and Development Strategy.
4. Developing, implementing, and maintaining governance processes to support the effective administration of the Learning and Development team.
5. Assisting Instructional Designers with learning needs analysis, course design, building interactive learning elements and engaging activities.
6. Providing facilitation and/or facilitation support for workshops, including both face to face and online.
7. Evaluating and analysing the effectiveness of capability and learning activities, ensuring quality outcomes are delivered.
8. Providing regular updates and reports on a range of P&C measures, activities, and processes.

9. Understanding of learning principles in an adult / workplace environment
10. Ability to support a Learning and Development function
11. Strong written communication skills
12. Sound organisational and administrative skills
13. Experience contributing and supporting capability and learning projects
Desirable skills
14. Experience providing facilitation for workshops, including both face to face and online.
