Waikerie Hotel Motel is looking for a hospitality leader to drive exceptional guest experiences and oversee daily operations. This is not a traditional hotel management role—you will be highly visible, actively engaging with guests and ensuring a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere.
Key responsibilities include:
o Leading and mentoring a team of approximately 40 staff, fostering a positive workplace culture
o Overseeing accommodation, dining and gaming operations, ensuring high service standards
o Ensuring sound management of the operations, maximising financial sustainability by ensuring profit KPIs are achieved, costs are monitored, and reporting to Board meets the required standard
o Driving customer engagement by being the face of the hotel and ensuring guest satisfaction
o Implementing business efficiencies and optimising operational performance
o Monthly reporting to the Board
About You
First and foremost, you must love to get to know your customers. This is an important role in the community, and you will be most successful by building local relationships. Staying out of the office and being out from behind the bar will be the key to your success.
You must also bring:
o Proven leadership experience in a hospitality environment
o A natural ability to engage with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere
o Strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and manage a diverse team
o A hands-on, proactive approach to hotel management, leading by example
o Experience in business operations, with the ability to enhance efficiency and growth
o ·A flexible, problem-solving mindset to navigate a dynamic hospitality environment

The town boasts excellent primary schools and a high school within walking distance of the spacious and recently renovated 3-bedroom house that forms part of the package.
