The position will lead and provide specialist expertise to enable the successful delivery of complex capital works projects within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service by:Effectively interface with project consultants and contractors to support delivery of an on time, on budget quality project.Assist the Redevelopment Program Office team with the design, construction and commissioning of the Capital Works Projects within the Townsville HHS.Provide direction, coordination and efficient and effective use of material resources.Assist in the commissioning activities including development of policies and procedures for these units.What's on offer?Fixed Term Temporary Full-time up to 31/12/2027.Remuneration package of up to $166,569 p.a., comprising base salary range of $136,035 - $145,990 p.a.(AO7)recreational leave loading (17.5%)employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).Skills and experience Ability in project management including planning, coordination and evaluation processes and the management of resources to achieve project objectives within established time lines.High level of interpersonal skills that will enhance working relationships with consumers, staff and stakeholders.Highly developed oral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to enable the development and maintenance of relationships with stakeholders, projects sponsors, steering committees, consultants, consumers, community representatives and project team members.Ability to interpret plans/drawings, develop and present professional presentations, reports, recommendations and documentation required to achieve strategic outcomes.Ability to develop and implement policy, procedures, business cases and project plans.Knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant statutory and legislative requirements, codes of practice and standards that apply to a health care environment.Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve common goals.Role requirements Whilst not mandatory, previous experience or qualifications in project management, clinical services development and/or business process development in the public health sector is desirable.Project management qualifications would be highly regarded.It is a mandatory condition of employment for the employee to be and remain vaccinated against COVID-19.For additional information regarding the responsibilities and/or other requirements for this position please refer to the role description.
