Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Senior Geospatial Analyst (Geospatial Specialist II) to join our dynamic team supporting our United States Army (USA) client. This is an on-site role at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Washington, supporting geospatial operations for their Directorate of Public Works (DPW). This position is responsible for all aspects of GIS data and capabilities management in the Army enterprise environment, to include complex data editing, modeling, analysis, scripting, web map development, and GIS system performance enhancements.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Geospatial Analyst (Geospatial Specialist II) at Woolpert, you will:Perform GIS data management, maintenance, and analysis that meet USA geospatial enterprise requirements.Perform data quality assurance and control (QA/QC) to ensure compliance with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE).Use scripts to automate and customize GIS data processes and capabilities.Migrate or convert CAD, legacy GIS, imagery, lidar, survey, non-spatial, and tabular data for USA geospatial enterprise integration.Acquire and integrate field collected data using Global Positioning System (GPS) survey equipment or other mobile technologies.Create and maintain installation and USA enterprise geospatial metadata.Analyze current processes and recommend improvements or other best practice solutions.Maintain data for archival storage, record keeping, and inventory of source data and maps.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsU.S. citizenship.Active Tier 1 Investigation (National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI), or security clearance, or the ability to pass a Tier 1 Investigation.Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geology, Urban Planning, or Environmental Science, or a bachelor's degree in a similar or related field and a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate.Extensive knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Pro software and capabilities:Three (3) years of experience using ArcGIS Pro for data management, maintenance, and analysis.Two (2) years of experience using ModelBuilder or Experience Builder to create, automate, or customize ArcGIS processes.One (1) year of experience using ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst extensions.One (1) year of experience managing and administering ArcSDE databases.One (1) year of experience with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) data model.Experience with other geospatial data sources such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, LiDAR, remotely sensed (aerial and satellite imagery), GPS, or survey data.Two (2) years of experience in a role requiring:Excellent communication and consulting skills with emphasis on client and team member engagement.Proven experience providing excellent customer service.Strong technical proficiency using Microsoft Office products.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a dynamic working environment.Attention to detail - proven experience meeting data quality assurance and accuracy standards.Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills.Ability to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and as a member of a large organization.Ability to offer constructive feedback and problem solving, as well as clear direction to support goals.Preferred QualificationsExperience with the USA geospatial enterprise program, system, data, and processes.Proficiency in Autodesk, MicroStation, or other CAD software.
