We are seeking a talented Project Engineer - Electrical to join our team for the exciting Western Downs BESS Stage 2 project.
About the Role
This is a site-based DIDO/FIFO role located at Western Downs near Chinchilla, QLD. As a Project Engineer - Electrical, you will be assisting in conceptual and detailed engineering for HV substations, solar, battery, and electrical Balance of Plant (BOP) systems. Your key focus will be ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion in line with client contracts.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Assist in project forecasting and constructability assessments.
* Supervise commissioning activities with the site commissioning teams.
* Develop ITPs and work packs for electrical installation work packages.
* Review electrical works, and test sheets, and approve ITPs upon completion.
* Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with UGL's Management System documentation.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
* Proven leadership and project management experience.
* Strong background in HV electrical systems or renewable/utility projects.
* Experience in supervising technical teams.
* A proactive approach to improving performance, deliverables, and work efficiency.
