Our Commonwealth Government client is seeking to engage legally qualified Senior Executive Officer at the EL1 level to join their Legal Services Group.The successful candidate will be accountable to perform complex executive support and exercise a high degree of discretion, judgement and professionalism.This candidate will use their legal expertise to review communications flowing into the Chief Counsel Office.An initial 6-month labour hire contract is on offer, with possible 6-month extension.This role is based in Tuggeranong, ACT.Please note: only Australian citizens can be considered for this role and an existing Baseline security clearance or above will be advantageous.Duties: Coordinate the development and preparation of high-quality legal advice for a range of ministerial, parliamentary and media correspondence Review the legal advice that is prepared by the Group, specifically assessing that legal risk has been identified, recorded and assessed Provide strategic advice to the Chief Counsel and stakeholders to ensure priority matters are actioned appropriately Prepare, coordinate and proof complex or sensitive correspondence, including corporate documentation, submissions, talking points, briefing papers and senior committee papers as well as legal advice Requisite skills/experience: Tertiary qualifications in law and admission as a legal practitioner required Demonstrated experience coordinating the development, preparation and review of high-quality legal advice for a range of ministerial, parliamentary and media correspondence Strong attention to detail, ability to exercise sound judgement and highly developed administrative, planning and organisational skills Ability to work effectively with stakeholders Ability to provide support with the highest degree of integrity and discretion.Culture and benefits adaptbl is owned and managed by lawyers and other professionals who have first-hand experience working as contractors.We treat people the way we would want to be treated, and we provide a range of perks and benefits to our staff.How to apply Click APPLY or get in touch with Deedee (******) or Tania (******) for a confidential discussion.Applications for this position close at COB Thursday 10 October 2024.
