Beyond Care is seeking SUPPORT WORKERS for SIL accommodation, respite centre and drop-in support in Dubbo to provide a person-centered approach that empowers the independence and choice of our participants living in our SIL Programs and in their own homes.
We have participants that require assistance and support with daily living needs. Both short and long shifts are available with Sleepovers allowing a great work and lifestyle balance.
Description of the roleWorking various shifts in a week: morning, afternoon, sleepovers, and weekends.Supporting participants to live as independently as possible.Outings in the community such as going for walks, lunch, dining, shopping, movies, and more!Personal care and support with domestic and household tasks such as menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.Certificate III in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent.Previous experience as a Support Worker.Minimum 3-4 days availability during the week.Must have a reliable vehicle, Australian Driver's License, and ability to travel with third-party insurance.Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.Current Working with Children's Check and NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain one.Rights to work in Australia.A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the lives of our clients.Reliable, responsible attitude towards work and able to commit to regular hours ongoing.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Access to a smartphone.Ability to provide a person-centered approach that empowers the client's independence and choice.Flexibility to work 4-hour shifts or longer shifts that meet the needs of our clients, i.e., morning, day, afternoon, evening, night, sleepovers, active nights, weekend, public holidays.A second language is desirable but not essential.Beyond Care can offer:Career pathways - opportunities for permanent work.Learning and Development - paid training.Full staff support & regular follow-up.Flexibility in working hours to suit work-life balance needs.The opportunity to change people's lives.
