Project Overview:
Bechtel has been engaged to undertake a Feasibility Study through to EPCM construction and commissioning by one of our key clients.
This Project involves greenfields and brownfields developments including earthworks through challenging terrain, construction of new crushing facilities and transmission line installations.
Job Summary:
As a Contracts Manager, you will lead a team to manage subcontracts and monitor project execution, developing the subcontracting strategy, operating procedures, staffing plan, and the contracts section of the Project Execution Plan.
You will review and approve bid details, commitments, and negotiations.
Your oversight will ensure project subcontracting is consistent and that requirements have been implemented.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
* Leads a team of contracts professionals to manage the projects end to end contracts requirements including field support.
* Directs negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plan in the commitment and resolution of commercial conditions of contracts when such action is agreed as necessary by the designated supervisor.
* Works closely with the procurement team to achieve shared objectives.
* Participates with the project team on a large project in defining and developing the scope of Contracts work, and in preparing and coordinating Contract plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets.
* Contributes Contracts input to the preparation and/or modifications of the project’s prime contract.
* Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on all project contract documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated.
* Other responsibilities as designated.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Brings strong culture of care and experienced leadership to bring the team together and deliver high performance outcomes.
* Considered subject matter expert within discipline.
* Has a wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
