RN/ EN/ AIN/ Home Care Workers / Support Workers
$32 – $48 per hour + allowances and penalties

Due to a continually expanding client base, we are searching for suitable RN's/EN's/ AINs/ Home Care Workers/Support Workers and Nursing Students who are able to fulfil regular and ongoing care visits with Nurse Next Door. Multiple positions are available within the Newcastle, Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie area.

What your Job Responsibilities will be:
Provision of skilled and quality in-home caregiving:
Personal Care
Manual Handling (including wheelchair transfers, variety of lifting machines including sling hoist, sit to stand lifter etc).
Companionship
Medication Administration
Assisting clients to access the community
Skilled Nursing Service (for RN's and EN's)
You must be willing to undertake and complete our mandatory paid internal e-learning and competency programmes in the timeframe allocated to you.
You must be confident in detecting and reporting any concerns to your clinical manager.
You must be willing to think outside the box and find those gems that will make your clients life better.

You will hold relevant qualifications to your position and be able to provide evidence of this.
You have a reliable vehicle and current drivers licence, and are willing to travel to client homes in the Newcastle, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie and surrounding region.
You will have good communication skills and be courteous and responsive when we contact you.
You will be flexible and available for a variety of short and long shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends.
You have current experience in community care/ home care/ Support Work/AIN (highly desirable) and working with clients with complex physical needs.
You are a self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for your own behaviour & success, however you are also coachable to doing things the ‘Nurse Next Door’ way.
You must be able speak and write in English, however other languages will also be an asset!

First Aid and CPR Certificate
