About the Role As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in our Australian Coal Assets, you will have the opportunity to rotate through our business, gaining exposure to a diverse range of sites, equipment, and mechanical projects in both open cut and underground mining.
You will use engineering principles and skills to support the business in the provision of safe, reliable, and efficient fit-for-purpose plant and equipment.
You will work with highly skilled teams to specify, introduce, maintain assets, solve problems, and implement timely and cost-effective modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.
A typical day will involve working with people at all levels within the business - from tradespeople to managers.
Work undertaken by graduates in our business is diverse.
Tasks may include smaller design projects, overhauls, shutdowns, planning, specification, procurement, introduction to site of equipment, and participation in the supervision of maintenance teams.
You will be placed on a rotational program to experience multiple sites, fast-tracking your knowledge of our business and the industry.
