Permanent, Full-time Position with a Monthly RDOBand 6 salary range from $88,829.00 - $98,566.00 per annum plus superannuationThe Role:A rare and exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and passionate Centre Coordinator at the Wendouree Children’s Centre.Wendouree Children’s Centre is a 75-place long day care and kindergarten in a convenient Wendouree location opposite Stockland Wendouree with recently upgraded learning rooms and outdoor spaces. It is part of the larger City of Ballarat Integrated Children's Services that includes the Ballarat and Lifestyle Aquatic Centre Children's Centre, Family Day Care, and Girrabanya Integrated Children's Centre which also provide Kindergarten and Occasional Care services.Our vision is for trusting, inclusive, interconnected relationships between children, families, educators, and communities that support children to be happy, safe, and reach their full potential. The centre has a reputation for high-quality education and care with particular pride in strong relationships with children and families.You will receive support from an experienced leadership team including Manager Integrated Children’s Services, Quality and Compliance Team, Team Leader (second-in-charge), and Educational Leader.Your career will be enhanced as you learn from and partner with other early childhood professionals. The centre is co-located with Maternal and Child Health and partners with a range of other Council programs including Best Start, Supported Playgroups, and Parent Place.The Coordinator of Wendouree Children’s Centre is required to provide leadership of a small team of passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced educators with low staff turnover. You will manage all aspects of the Wendouree Children’s Centre with a focus on striving for excellence in education and care.Your key responsibilities will include:Participating in the provision of responsive early childhood education and care.Supporting the development of the Wendouree and BALC creche teams and its individual members.Leading the team and developing excellence in service provision.Promoting positive and effective communications with all stakeholders.Supporting a comprehensive approach to service administrative functions and requirements.Key Selection Criteria:Relevant Diploma or above in accordance with the National Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current best practice in the provision of early childhood education and care services, particularly in an integrated environment.Demonstrated experience of providing innovative, high-quality customer service within a child-centred, family-focused framework.Proven experience and ability to provide effective staff leadership and management; and ability to build capacity within the existing workforce.Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage and work with a diverse range of stakeholders including parents, colleagues, and local community members.Ability to provide sound financial budget management and reporting.Ability to produce high-quality written documents including correspondence, reporting, plans, and funding submissions.As part of working with the City of Ballarat Council, you will have access to a range of supports.
