The Duty Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing staff, ensuring that the daily tasks are delegated and assigned to the respective staff member by Supervisors.
You will ensure training and supervision is provided for all staff members in the designated area and be the a point of contact for escalated queries for the rostered shift.
The Duty Manager must be fully conversant with Club's policies and operating procedures and must be ready to take a "hands on" approach to ensure consistent delivery of high standards of customer service and products.Key Requirements :High level of literacy and numeracyDetailed knowledge of customer service proceduresDetailed knowledge of opening and closing proceduresDemonstrated knowledge of the company's policies and proceduresKnowledge of workplace health & safety regulationsAble to work unsupervisedAble to follow directions and work as part of a team to achieve targets and goalsAble to communicate effectively with fellow staff, customers and managementAble to provide consistent, friendly and efficient service to all customersAble to optimise customer sales through effectively adding value at the counter and at the tableAble to maintain club presentation, hygiene and product quality through following daily and weekly procedures and schedulesPro-active, positive, enthusiastic, energetic, responsible and friendlyHappily and diligently adheres to the company's dress code at all timesProvide positive, constructive feedback for fellow staff, Shift Supervisor/s etcJob Responsibility :Investigate, explain and report on any discrepancies to the managementAssisting in procurement, ordering stock in accordance with bar levels and the needs of the businessEstablish and implement procedures for operational purposes including procurementMaintain stock control through monitoring of wastage, effective ordering/receiving and storage proceduresEnsure maximum productivity and profitability in the Club by giving direction to fellow employees of a lower levelAssist the management team in controlling expenditures such as Cost Of Employment (COE) through ensuring staffing levels are in alignment with the amount of activity within the business (i.e.
sending employees home or on breaks when not busy)Supervision and training of employees, taking initiative in ensuring high level of customer satisfaction at all timesReport any disciplinary action to the Human Resources Manager or praise of employees of a lower level to ManagementPerform administrative duties in conjunction with management (i.e.
collecting invoices, carrying out and recording of food safety requirements)On call for emergencies or staffing requirementsEnsure the work environment ad all maintenance tasks comply with Workplace Health and Safety legislation.Consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity, commitment, fairness and co-operation in all aspects of the above responsibilities.
