General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)

Role Overview:
As the General Manager at Power Tools Plus, you will be instrumental in driving the success and growth of our business. Working predominantly from our Forbes office and reporting directly to the Director, you will oversee all operational and sales aspects across our four branches, including managing branch managers, fostering a strong organizational culture, optimizing capital expenditure, and ensuring efficient stock management in alignment with sales objectives. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing new strategies as well as strengthening and developing standardized systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and consistency across all branches.
Responsibilities:
Branch Management:
Supervise and support branch managers across all locations.
Provide leadership and guidance to ensure alignment with company goals.
Foster a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and success.
Ensure equipment and infrastructure are maintained to an operational standard.
Analyze market for sales opportunities.
Oversee external sales team and develop a strong strategy.
Optimize margins and implement pricing structures.
Capital Expenditure Management:
Develop and oversee capital expenditure plans in line with business objectives.
Evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities for maximum ROI.
Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources.
Stock Management:
Oversee the management of stock levels across branches to meet sales demands and maximize the use of capital.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize turnover.
Coordinate with purchasing managers to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize costs.
Staff Management:
Lead recruitment efforts and develop a high-performing team.
Implement performance management systems and strategies.
Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
Develop and implement standardized operational systems and processes.
Ensure consistency and efficiency across all branches.
Continuously review and improve systems to drive operational excellence.
Requirements:
Proven track record of leadership and management success in complex business environments.
Strong experience in a sales environment.
Strong ability to build and nurture a positive organizational culture.
A willingness to lead by example.
Experience in managing capital expenditure, budgets, and financial resources effectively.
Proficiency in stock management and inventory control practices.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing standardized systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
