The role
We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Maintenance Fitter for our Sand Quarry at Penrose.
You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
* Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained.
* Deliver mechanical maintenance services on site.
* Implement and carry out routine preventative maintenance.
* Participate in the maintenance program including preventative and corrective maintenance.
* Effectively respond to unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
* Undertake tasks associated with maintenance shutdowns including planning and organising as required.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to drive continuous improvement.
What you will need to succeed
* Trade Qualification - Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting with welding and machining competence
* Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Experience with mobile crushing and screening plants
* Proven history in mechanical maintenance and repairs
* Experience with Sand Washing Plants would be an advantage
* Experience with operating Earthmoving Equipment an advantage
* EWP and Confined Space tickets or be willing to be trained.
* Computer literacy skills especially with Excel, Word, Outlook
* A good understanding of computer systems including SAP would be highly regarded.
* Excellent communication ability with strong interpersonal skills
* Willingness to work with a small team to achieve safety and production targets
