Our client, a large government agency, has a program that is a multi-year technology-enabled transformation program looking to simplify, streamline and transform key people management services across the department. They are requiring an HCM Functional Consultant to lead and deliver functionality through several releases and a large multi-disciplinary team. The program is organised into multiple workstreams that report into the Program Director.
Responsibilities
* Project manage, lead and coach the Functional team to enable the effective and efficient gathering of business requirements, design workshops, playbacks with the business and the Solution Implementation partner.
* Lead discussions with SMEs and other business stakeholders on opportunities for both functional and process improvements aligning to the transformation agenda.
* Ensure the solution design utilises standard SuccessFactors functionality effectively, and that customisations are deployed to support the organisation's complex processes (where appropriate).
* Ensure the SuccessFactors solution meets requirements and conforms to the SAP best practice and standards.
* Contribute to development, review, approval and maintenance of timely and accurate product documentation including enhancement verification documents, configuration rationale, functional and technical specifications, requirements traceability matrix and ensure they are correctly updated and meet quality standards in the approved document repository location.
* Collaborate across the program team to ensure outstanding design decisions, functional / technical debt and identified risks / issues at delivery stage are followed up on and raised at appropriate forums and management levels for decision making and remediation.
* Escalate solution design conflicts within and across the functional streams to the Business Transformation Director and work with them to resolve the conflicts.
Ideal characteristics for role
* Minimum of 7 years of experience working as an HCM Functional Lead role in large transformation programs.
* Demonstrated experience managing a team of business analysts and architects to deliver a high impact and high-quality engagement with business stakeholders.
* Excellent consulting skills e.g. leading large-scale workshops with multiple stakeholders, liaising confidently and effectively with senior executives.
* Candidates from a consulting background are preferred.
