YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS To be a complimentary fit for this role, here are the key responsibilities:
Regulatory Strategy Development Develop and execute robust regulatory strategies for the region, identifying optimal markets from which to operate.Lead regulatory advocacy initiatives to shape a favourable regulatory landscape for flavour products.Regulatory Advocacy & Collaboration Participating in regulatory agency interactions, engaging with relevant regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and policymakers to shape the regulatory landscape for the Company's flavours.Advocating for policies that promote innovation while ensuring safety and compliance.Policy Analysis & Regulatory Guidance Analyse regulations, assess potential risks and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to the business.Drive initiatives to influence evolving regulatory frameworks while ensuring ongoing compliance.Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance strategies are in place.Regulatory Approval Process Lead the regulatory approval process to secure necessary licenses in identified markets.Ensure timely and compliant product launches by managing local regulatory requirements.Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with legal, compliance, technical, and commercial teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.Proactively address emerging regulatory challenges and provide regulatory solutions to internal stakeholders.Regulatory Compliance & Customer Support Accountable for the regulatory compliance of the company's flavour products.Provide expert guidance and creative regulatory solutions to customers and business partners regarding flavour compliance.Deliver high-quality services, drive process efficiencies, and seek continuous improvement in ways of working.Regulatory Documentation & Certification Responsible for providing accurate and timely customer compliance documentation, including food allergen statements, genetically modified food declarations, gluten-free status, and third-party certification suitability (ACO, Halal, Kosher, TGA, etc.).Qualifications Minimum of 5 years regulatory experience within Flavour and food/beverage regulatory industry.Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or closely related discipline (Food Science, Nutrition, toxicology) required.Experience with ANZ and APAC food regulations (FDA, FEMA, IOFI, JEFCA, EFSA, etc).Ability to apply knowledge of key regulatory frameworks in the APAC and ANZ region both strategically and operationally and provide direction to resolve complex regulatory issues.Expertise in preparing regulatory analysis including the preparation and execution of interactions with regulatory authorities, such as regulatory consultation response submissions.Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking and representing company in regulatory discussions.Must be a strong team player, and willing to be fully engaged with key stakeholders both in our company but also with our partners. Must have hands-on professional capable of working collaboratively and independently, with excellent communication skills.Strong influencer and collaborator with interdisciplinary teamsAble to work in a fast paced and agile environment.High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skillsStrong project management competencies to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.Knowledge of industry and customer regulatory requirements, including technical criteria or specifications.To find out more about us, please visit our website: Essential Flavours.
