This includes the coordination and production of timely and accurate financial, taxation and management transactions, analysis, and reporting; budgeting, general ledger account reconciliations; and core Finance system maintenance and integrity.This position is expected to engage and maintain effective working relationships with business units and Finance, Procurement and Data Analytics staff. This position will perform project tasks to support the SAP ERP implementation project.Key Responsibilities: Perform tasks which require knowledge of the standard application of theoretical principles, procedures and techniques at the level of an inexperienced graduate working in their field of expertise.Assist with review and testing for the SAP ERP Implementation project. Tasks will include but not limited to:Review of WBS master data for research projects / outside earnings, etc in preparation for migration of data to new SAP ERP.Attend project meetings and provide feedback when required.Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during the UAT phase ensuring the new SAP ERP is configured and customized accordingly. Provide feedback to project team of any issues.Monitor and maintain the monthly accounting tasks required to be completed in order to meet both internal and external reporting requirements. Tasks will include but not limited to:Creation of WBSRaising of Purchase orders and invoicesMilestone Reporting, including but not limited to setting up milestones and running milestone reportsInput budget for Research ProjectsJournal, accruals and general ledger reconciliationsPrepare and support in the preparation of acquittals to external granting agencies within specified deadlines in order to meet requirements of funding agreements.Provide interpretation, advice and decisions to assist in providing internal and external parties with first level financial assistance and information as required on a prompt and consistent basis and in accordance with University policy and procedure.Undertake other duties, as required by the finance management team.Work collaboratively with members of the assigned Finance Operation Unit and provide cross functional team support.Support in the completion of the financial data table and analysis of the Higher Ed research data collection of (HERDC/NHMRC/ARC).Lead and drive financial planning, budgeting and forecasting external and internal Research projects.Stakeholder Management for Research Centres.Skills and Experience: To be considered for this position, you will have:Completion of a Diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience; or completion of a Certificate IV with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience or on-the-job training.Ability to provide factual advice which requires proficiency in work area rules and regulations.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Quality, appropriateness, and timeliness of advice in response to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.Please refer to the Position Description for other duties, skills and experience required for this position.
