Our data and analytics systems are core to our ability to derive insights from our customer's data as a business. Our Data team plays a crucial role in bringing together our platform usage and business data into a central warehouse in a timely, stable and digestible format which is then leveraged by our product, engineering and go-to-market teams to create insights to build the best product we can.You'll form part of our new Data team at Propeller, a small cross-functional squad of business systems analysts and data engineers who work across our business and analytics data systems. You will take the lead to maintain, enhance and transform our current data pipelines and warehousing infrastructure, bringing your pragmatic approach to system design and engineering that will bring continuous improvements to our existing systems, closing the gap between our product data and data warehouse and setting us up for our next phase of growth. As part of the role, you will partner with our other product and engineering teams to help them design data-producing systems that fit best into the data warehousing ecosystem. As a founding senior within the team, you'll be given plenty of autonomy and ownership to deliver on existing and greenfield projects.Your Skills Experience building and managing large data platform environments in the cloud, AWS preferred. You've worked in a fast-paced, scale-up environment where iterating quickly and building pragmatically comes naturally to you. Experience with modern MPP cloud-based data warehouse solutions such as Redshift, SnowFlake or BigQuery. Advanced SQL, Python coding, and data modelling skills. Experience working with event-oriented data sets and streaming architectures Experience developing dashboards and reporting systems - we use Metabase. Familiarity with a wide set of data warehousing principles, including architecture, methodologies, schemas, optimization principles, and best practices. Strong competency following the ELT approach to the data integration process. Curiosity and self-drive to continuously learn new techniques and tools to extract value from data. You're a natural collaborator and can bring together a variety of stakeholders to achieve your goals. Experience owning, tracking, and delivering goals, working both independently and in teams.
