Job Title: Finance Officer Revenue (Fixed Term)
We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced Finance Officers to join our Revenue Department on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2026 and 30 September 2026, respectively.
About the Opportunity
You will be responsible for providing support in the charging of and collection of Council rates, charges, fees, fines, etc. This includes:
* Assisting with ensuring the integrity of the rates system, including consistency with the Queensland Valuation and Sales system;
* Assisting with levying and collection of Council rates and charges, including debt recoveries;
* Completing Council's returns/remittances, including Queensland Fire Levy, Rural Fire Levies, Pensioner Remissions, etc.;
* Undertaking daily reconciliation of rates and charge receipts with rates debtors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate III in Business/Finance or equivalent related experience;
* Experience in interpreting (or ability to interpret) the Local Government Act, Regulation to ensure compliance, particularly with respect to rates and utility charges;
* Knowledge and experience utilising a range of information systems and software;
* Ability to work as a collaborative member of a team in a diverse work environment to achieve positive outcomes;
* Maintaining high work standards, including a strong attention to detail, focus on continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Estimated Salary Range
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
