Join us as a Technical Writer!Create and maintain key documentation that supports dev teams, onboarding, and feature development across the tech department.The role As a Technical Writer, you will work across the Technology department to develop, edit, organise, maintain, and oversee internal technical documentation.This documentation supports the end-to-end development teams in managing their applications, onboarding new developers, and creating new functionality and features.You will need to work closely with SMEs and end-to-end teams to improve the quality and relevance of the technical documentation.Additionally, you will consolidate existing documentation, produce fresh content, and ensure quality standards are adhered to moving forward.Position Accountabilities Organisation and update existing documentation to simplify and consolidate content and move into a new hierarchy and structure.Develop internal documentation templates, including but not limited to guides, application technical sheets, handover documents, operation and maintenance runbooks, etc.Review and edit processes, policies, procedures, and business and product documentation, as required.Ensure controlled/non-controlled documentation follows the correct process for review, sign-off, and publishing.FF Create new documentation as required for technical solutions and applications.Guide others on best practices for content authoring.Collaborate with SMEs and key stakeholders to gather information for documentation and improve processes as required.Write technically accurate and grammatically correct content.What experience you'll bring Experience with Atlassian cloud products Confluence and Jira, also experience with Google Docs Content Management System application.Proven experience working as a technical writer or experience in a related discipline, coupled with relevant training and/or certification.Able to understand and organise large amounts of information that is technically complex and originates from a variety of sources.Must be able to interview subject matter experts and understand development-related information and terminology.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to write in a clear and concise manner.Demonstrated ability to take written or verbal information and format it to company standards and templates.Experience creating documents such as procedures, manuals, process flows and business procedures.Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks and successfully manage your assigned workload within tight deadlines.Ability to quickly establish productive working relationships with stakeholders.User-centric thinker that can anticipate the user's concerns and questions about the product.Our Perks Location – Toowong Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.Conveniently based at Toowong Village Tower with views of the mountains and the Brisbane River, our location is only 4 km from the city and provides access to retail, restaurants and other amenities.The benefits of working at A&G Be rewarded -
