As a Food Services Assistant your focus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs, special requirements and preferences of our residents. Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be: Perform basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals. Prepare, present and serve / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements Requirements Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision The successful incumbents will need to be available to work a variety of days and shifts About us Here at VMCH our services are as diverse as the people we support.
