About the role:
As our Senior Operations Specialist, you will support the development and integration of highly complex warfighter capabilities. You will work alongside like-minded professionals, contributing your expertise in operations analysis, synthetic training development, as well as Air and/or Ground-based operations.
This opportunity is perfect for someone considering a career change or transitioning to civilian employment while continuing to deliver operational Defence capabilities. Please note: This position must be based in Newcastle, in the Hunter region of NSW, and requires an active NV2 AGSVA Security Clearance. Relocation assistance will be available to the successful applicant subject to terms and conditions.
What you will be involved in:
* Providing Air Battle Management expertise and delivering Operational SME services
* Contributing to operational analysis of capability, systems, and training
* Designing, developing, and preparing operationally relevant scenarios, activities, and materials to support the maintenance and evolution of complex war fighter capabilities
* Participating in operationally relevant activities supporting commercial companies, government, and Defence clientele
* Working with a close-knit team of professionals with diverse skills and disciplines
* Providing operational specialist support to developmental human factors, decision support, and autonomous intelligence capabilities
What we would like from you:
* Qualification and experience as an Air Battle Manager, from either the Air or Ground environment, is essential
* Australian citizen with an active NV2 AGSVA Security Clearance
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously in small or large teams from diverse specialty fields
* Experience beyond single-service domains with a strong appreciation for combined operations is highly desirable
