Toll Group's Government & Defence division provides specialised logistics expertise across a wide range of services, including relocation, fleet management, and high-risk operations in critical defence and national security environments. We manage a diverse portfolio of logistics solutions, from airport management, military supply chain, and fuel handling, to the relocation of personnel and the maintenance of defence equipment. With a high-risk environment across sectors such as defence, ports, airports, and maritime operations, we're seeking a passionate HSSEQ Business Partner to support our mission to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

This role sits within our Government and Defence division, and you will support HSSEQ working alongside leadership and operational teams to promote a positive, safety-focused culture. You'll contribute to shaping safety strategies, improving performance, and ensuring our operations align with industry-leading HSSEQ standards.
This role would be well suited to an individual with knowledge of the defence industry or high risk environments, with a strong quality background with ISO9001 knowledge, underpinned by a safety qualification. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with site leaders to bring the Toll HSSEQ strategy to life.Assist in developing annual improvement plans that enhance safety and foster an Incident Injury Free culture.Provide technical quality support to site teams to prevent incidents and maintain a safe working environment.Drive positive change by fostering a strong commitment to HSSEQ objectives and targets.Implement Toll's HSSEQ management systems, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and regulations.Partner with key business units to develop tailored HSSEQ plans for specific operational needs.Ensure safety in high-risk environments across defence, ports, airports, fuels, and other government-related services.Knowledge/Experience: 2+ years in an Occupational Health and Safety role within industries such as Defence Logistics, Maritime, Road Transport, Warehouse, or similar high-risk sectors.Proven experience in conducting audits and planning corrective actions.Experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.Solid knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Quality Management Systems.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and related industry standards.Qualifications: Quality Audit Certificate.Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.Lead Auditor or Auditor qualifications (preferred).Incident Investigation experience (preferred).Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desired).Ability to gain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.Technical/Professional Skills: Strong planning and organisational skills.Process and system improvement expertise.Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong commitment to influencing best practice safety standards.Results-driven with a focus on making a positive impact.Strong written and verbal communication skills.What We Offer: A nurturing and inclusive workplace where you can grow and make a difference.Opportunities to build your expertise and develop alongside experienced professionals.Flexibility to work from key locations (Ann Street, Richlands, Eastern Creek, Melbourne).A competitive salary with professional development opportunities.What moves you?
