The incumbent will contribute to the research team led by a nominated Principal Investigator (PI), and develop research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to a specific service group within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS).The ACE trial is a research study to look at improving respiratory health outcomes for Indigenous children hospitalised with acute chest infections.About the Unit:The position sits within the Townsville Institute of Health Research and Innovation (TIHRI) and works with specific research teams to deliver research outcomes in line with a nominated research team's aims. The primary research aims of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service Research Unit are to:Facilitate high quality research.Increase the quality, quantity and profile of research produced by the Townsville HHS.Foster multi-disciplinary research collaboration.Streamline processes for research ethics and governance.Facilitate the development of transparent, research-friendly financial systems and procedures.What's on offer:Generous remuneration package value up to $32,163 p.a. comprising:Salary range of $54.44 to $67.53 p.h.
