For non-ACEM, Australian Specialty College trainees or Fellows (eg ACCRM, RACGP) to upskill in emergency medicine in a tertiary regional emergency department caring for 100,000 emergency patients per year of all ages, genders, medical, surgical, trauma and mental health presentations.
To provide high quality clinical care to patients of Townsville University Hospital as part of the Resident Medical Officer roster on a part time or fulltime basis. To work with and under the supervision of FACEMs and emergency medicine trainees in a teaching hospital with the opportunity to teach junior medical officers, and to complete the EMC/EMCD.
Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $272,700 p.a. comprising:
1. Salary range of $63.45 to $73.56 p.h. (L4 - L9) or $76.87 to $84.71 p.h. (L10 - L13)
2. Annual leave with 17.5% loading
3. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
4. Completion of a medical degree MBBS
5. Evidence of being a trainee of an Australian specialty training program other than ACEM. Eg ACCRM, RACGP, RACP
6. This position requires the incumbent to have obtained a degree qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and hold current registration or eligibility for registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies to the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
7. To be “on-call” and participate in shift rosters, including nights and weekends is a requirement of the position.
8. Requires a level of Information Technology/Digital literacy, which includes a strong foundation of graphical user interface skills, and the ability to quickly achieve proficiency in concurrent access of multiple, complex electronic patient databases and recording systems.
9. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
